Free and Open Source Spell Checker for Windows XP is a brand new utility that not only makes it easier to find spelling errors, but also to correct them before they become permanent. It was developed by Jyoti Prasad of Chartboost Software in order to get around the fact that most software does not have a spell checker on their own. She was inspired to create this program after being unable to make her boss know that she had spelled something incorrectly while working with the team. After using Spell Checker XP for some time, she realized that a lot of people were unaware of the fact that there was a spell checker for Windows XP, and it allowed her to get more accurate spellings.
The system requires some user interaction before it can be used, and you can download and use the free spell checker for Windows XP from its website. The only down side about this application is that it is not able to decipher acronyms. Fortunately, Jyoti found a solution to this by having software developers look into this issue and come up with a spell checker that can decipher all the acronyms.
The software is not perfect, and the free version of the program has some flaws that are easily noticed. For example, if you run the program and it gives you a green or yellow screen, it means that the settings were somehow corrupted or damaged in some way. The only way to fix the problem is to reinstall the application, which can take some time and space on your computer. However, Spell Checker XP still allows you to use the tool without having to re-install the application.
